Custom Manufacturing Equipment

Since its founding in 1982 by G. Loomis has used custom made manufacturing equipment designed by Gary Loomis for making its rods.

No other rod manufacturer in the world has access to this highly specialized equipment. Not even G. Loomis' new owners Shimano. All other rod manufacturers use "out of the box" equipment that Gary Loomis found inadequate for the products he wanted to produce.

Proprietary Resins & Compsite Sheets

Every G. Loomis rod is made from proprietary resins and composite sheets (graphite, glass, etc.) designed especially for G. Loomis alone.

Resins, in conjunction with premium graphite or other composite sheet, are the key ingredient in making a premium quality rod that is free of weak points that may cause problems under high stress, like when there's a big fish on the line.

Durability

Modulus is only one (and not necessarily the most important) criteria for quality, strength, or "feel" in a fishing rod. Durability, consistency, deflection, and many other factors are what make G. Loomis the world standard for the serious fisherman.
