The gear ratio has been reduced to 5.0:1 so you can handle those really big fish with ease. Shimano Calcutta TE 400LJV Lucanus Jig Version Round Casting Reels also include other modifications that adapt to this method of fishing. Those modifications include a custom stamped aluminum handle side side plate, machined aluminum spool, drilled top crossbar, ergonomic handle grip, titanium level wind insert, and non-disengaging level wind system. This reel is only available in right hand retrieve. Made in Japan.
