The best of the best. I've used Shimano reels for over 20 years and just when you think that they can't get any better, they push the envelope even further. I've used Stradics and Sustains, which are great reels, but the Stella is the elite. The weight, feel and ease of use makes fishing effortless. Shimano definitely "hit one out of the park" with this offering. (Posted on April 23, 2012)

I BOUGHT A 2500FE A YEAR AGO AND HAVE BEEN FISHING ABOUT 225 DAYS A YEAR WITH IT .I HAD OTHER EXPENSIVE REELS BEFORE THIS ONE AND THEY DONT COMPARE . I NEVER GET LINE TWIST OR SHOWING ANY SIGNS OF WARE . I HAVE CAUGHT FROM BLUE GILLS TO BIG PIKE AND IT NEVER LET ME DOWN , NEVER FLEXES UNDER LOAD, GREAT DRAG , VERY LIGHT AND SMOOTH REELING ,THE BAIL IS WELL BALANCED AND NEVER CLOSES EARLY , I AM PLANNING TO BUY ANORTHER ONE ,I KEEP MY REEL CLEAN AND LUBRICATED AND I AM VERY CAREFULL POSTIONING IT IN MY BOAT WHILE TRAVELING . YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE , IF YOU LOVE FISHING LIKE I DO .GO FOR IT . I HAVE BEEN FISHING FOR OVER 40 YEARS .THIS IS THE BEST . SPINNING IS BETTER FOR THE LIGHT LURES , ACCURACY .
