A real bass fisherman never, but never, admitted using a spinning rod, unless it was for panfish, and even then it was iffy. But times are CHANGING and so are techniques. First out of the closet were the die-hard smallmouth anglers. They favored the spinning rod because they used lighter line and smaller lures to fool those super cautious brown bass. Then, as finesse fishing came into play, more and more anglers found the spinning rod to be the PERFECT SOLUTION for the clear water lakes where spotted bass and smallmouths abound. The only negative was nobody ever really offered the nice, fast-action rods that the casting crowd enjoyed. That was until we introduced the Spin Jig Series. It's the unique blend of DYNAMIC tapers and super-sensitive materials that helped make these the rod of choice for serious light line anglers. Grubs, small worms, hair jigs, split shot rigs, "mojo" rigs... you name it, the spin jig rod is a great option.

We designed this rod for fishing small baits and leadhead jigs in clear rivers and lakes, where a shorter rod is beneficial for both accuracy and presentation. It's also a good choice for vertical jigging over brush piles for crappie in deep water. The magnum taper (meaning the tip's light and the butt's very strong) gives the rod a little more versatility and allows you to use a wider variety of lures. If there were such a thing as a "magnum ultra-light," this would be it.

A unique, extra-fast ultra-light jig & grub rod. It's surprisingly powerful for it's size and it will handle really big fish. It's an excellent choice for crappie fishing in deep water. It gives the angler maximum leverage while still protecting light line. It’s a great little smallmouth rod where smaller baits are necessary. It has a magnum taper - the tip is very light and the butt is very strong. This unique combination gives the rod a lot more versatility and allows you to use a wider variety of lures.
