An excellent rod for yellow fin up to the 120-pound range, pargo or deep-water yellowtails on a drop loop rig. Another good option for halibut, ling cod or larger bottom fish, using metal jigs, cut-bait or soft plastics on heavy jig heads. It has foam grips with a lightweight Fuji barrel reel seat and a soft, rounded butt-cap. The foregrip on this rod is slightly longer so you can move your hand up the blank for more leverage.
