As conditions and back cast space allows, you may overhead cast while wading deep, and get to distances thought reserved for experts only. We suggest using a long belly weight forward intended for single-hand rods for this sort of casting. When backcasting is limited, or if you prefer, using a #5/6 short belly spey line will let you single hand spey cast with ease, providing incredible line control and distance. The combination of a small single haul and the spey casting motion will enable you to cover water you may have thought only possible with 14' rods and longer.
