Designed for redfish and permit, the PR844 is a good all-around flats rod for a number of different species. Works well with the smaller types of live bait like shrimp, minnows and small crabs, casting spoons and jigs equally well. It is a fast-action rod, but leans towards moderate a bit, making it a good rod to wear down the larger fish quickly. GL3 makes it light, yet surprisingly powerful and pretty darned sensitive.
