One of the most exciting new reels is the miniature Signature Series baitcaster which I can see being used for a whole lot more than just Crappie. This smart looking reel features the same basic design as Lew's other baitcasters just in a mini footprint that is just a tiny blip on your reel seat. The reel is finished with the Tuxedo Black finish and features a graphite construction, 2+1 bearings, a forged aluminum spool, magnetic cast control system, and a forged shallow spool. With a 100yd. capacity with 10lb. mono your not going to be fishing for stripers with this reel but it would make a great finesse or panfish reel. The reel was surprisingly smooth for only have 3 bearings and I really think it would be a kick to land wither a nice Crappie or Panfish with this tint reel. The reel features a 6.4:1 retrieve which is good for multi-purpose.
