Excellent
One of if not the best reels you can buy for the money. Very smooth and rigid. I also own the Ci4+ and other reels in the 200-225$ range this is still my favorite.

One smooth spinner
Shimano continues to produce the smoothest spinning reels on the market. With its' blazing 6:1 ratio the Stradic is the spinner that others continue to imitate.

Awesome service
I've been wanting to purchase this new stradic model for some time now. I've owned older versions this reel so I had no reason to hesitate to purchase the FK model.

ALFC had the best price, so I ordered it, within two days the reel was on my doorsteps!!!

Not my first Ci4+ reel, very hapy with it as its light wait and robust built.

Perfect reel
Very light reel and very smooth drag, catch many brown trout including 29" 12lb brown and few rainbow trout. Just be very careful to have line under spool.

Best bang for the money!!!
After 50 years of fishing the quality of the reels over the years has gone through the roof. But so has the price, on the top of the line reels sometime exceeding $1,000.- Unlike some of my fellow fishing enthusiasts price is an issue for me. The quality of this reel for the price paid was a no brainer!

I'm buying 4 more
I've been going back and forth for months between the FK 2500 and the Ci4+.
Both felt very nice, equally so in my opinion. Money was not an issue for me so the greater cost of the Ci4+ meant nothing. The deciding factor was this,... I've owned many spinning reels over the years, both with metal and composite materials and while I'm sure the new composites are outstanding in the Ci4+, metal is inherently more rigid and I like a solid, metal feel. They both felt equally smooth in hand but my concern was when under loaded drag along with longevity. Would the composite parts start to lose some rigidity at the seams ? The difference in weight between the two is so insignificant, even if fishing all day. For me, I can fish all day on a beach front with my Van Staal surf reel that weighs 21.5 oz., not to mention the rod, so what really is the difference with such small weight.
However, I have noticed that the bail has been difficult to close via turning the handle after a cast at times. It's not an issue for me as I close the bail manually anyway to eliminate as much line twist as possible, which by the way is non existent so far while using Tatsu 8# fluorocarbon. I just wanted to check it as I've read this before. In reality, however, every spinning reel has this propensity. If the handle is very close to the trip point when the cast is finished you don't have momentum to trip the bail when turning the handle. It balances extremely well on a Fenwick 7' MH or M Aetos . Extremely satisfied with my decision !!!

Great spinning reel
Great fishing reel at a very good price. It's by far the smoothest fishing reel that I've ever owned. I will probably be buying a couple more for other types of fishing.
