When first introduced in 1995, Falcon's LowRider series defied convention by using small, single-footed, rod guides. These guides also sat lower, resting much closer to the blank. Compared to other rods of similar length, there were also more guides. These much smaller, more numerous, guides worked to limit line slap and friction up the entire length of the rod, resulting in longer casts. The "low-profile" rod was born.
Today, the term "low-profile rod" is almost cliche. Once we started the revolution, imitators followed. But, when it comes to quality, capability, and innovation, our totally revamped LowRider Series still leads the way. Notable among 2019 LowRider features is the addition of tangle free "K Frame" Fuji guides. Along with new extra-durable, silky-smooth FazLite guide rings. We tuned the actions with a higher grade of aerospace- rated carbon fiber to achieve an even lighter blank in the fish catching actions that our fishermen have come to expect.

I use my Low Rider for jig& pigg'in down deep and near docks. Also a great Lilly pad rod for Largemouth Bass & trolling for Northern Pike. Cast like a dream!!!
I bought this Falcon low rider lizard dragger rod to replace my old USA falcon lizard dragger that broke after years of fishing, When the rod came i was disappointed to see the Falcon low rider rod is made in China now, I called Falcon and they told me all their rods except the Cara series rods are imported now, I fished the rod last week and it does ok, but not as sensitive as the USA made lizard dragger rod, It is half the price of the Cara series rods though so I guess its worth the 100.00 cost. it did catch a few Alabama river spotted bass last week.
