Beyond my expectations. I bought this as a new swimjig rod and 6/0 beast hook 6-8" weedless soft swimbait rod. I've been blown away how a rod can have so much sensitivity but the perfect taper to activate that backbone right when you need it. Far from a broomstick, it keeps them pinned when they take flight and gives just enough when they make hard surges by the boat before landing them. 5 Texas and Mexico Double Digits in the last 7 months and I've never not felt like I was in complete control, never a sketch moment.
The only issue is that the clearcoat fails and begins peeling. I think this is superficial but really makes them look aged rapidly. Could be the Texas and Mexico heat but for this pricepoint, that's the only knock on the product.
