Our standard mooching rod, designed to fish cut-bait, flashers or lures in the ocean. When mooching or trolling, boat captains will spread their rigs by using shorter rods at the back of the boat with longer rods on the sides. This is usually the short rod at the corner and can be used in conjunction with a down-rigger. It will mooch or troll up to 6-ounces, but will cast only 2 or 3-ounces effectively. Drift fishermen can use it in the river for casting or plunking. It will handle even the largest of the salmon species, no problem!
