G. Loomis Classic Saltwater Popping Spinning Rods were originally designed for casting live shrimp under a cork for sea trout or redfish. But anglers soon found that these rods worked exceptionally well with soft plastics and jigs for bonefish, snook and other shallow water species.

G. Loomis Classic Saltwater Popping Spinning Rods have soft tips so the bait will land quietly, even on longer casts. They come in 2 lengths and various powers for fishing spoons, bucktails or surface lures. Very lightweight, these are powerful rods that are capable of handling large fish, including small tarpon or bigger snook. All rods feature premium "A" grade cork handles, Fuji reel seats, and Fuji guides with oversized I.D.'s to allow for heavy knots and shock tippets common when fishing in saltwater.
